Utilize the following tips to get your hair looking great again!
1. Water Is Important
There are so many reasons that you should be drinking water, and the effects it has on your hair is just one of them. When you drink water, you hydrate your locks. That strengthens the strands, keeping them looking and feeling great. Not only that, but when your hair is strong, it grows more rapidly. Carry around a water bottle with you and sip away!
2. Don't Wash Every Day
I have thick, curly hair that can be difficult to style. Therefore, I used to go a little overboard. Not only would I wash and dry it, but I would also use a flat iron to get it to look the way I wanted. As a result, the health of my hair suffered.
I don't wash my hair every day any more. If I can, I wait until every third day. Sometimes I can even push it to the fourth day, depending on what I'm doing and how I'm wearing my hair. While that sounds a little radical, remember that when you don't wash your hair, your natural oils are able to make their way down the entire length of your locks. That process keeps the hair from getting too dry.
Have you tried dry shampoo? If not, you should. It is my go to and keeps my hair looking great even when it hasn't been washed. I've tried many different brands, and I've found that you don't have to pick an expensive product in order for it to work right.
3. Use Cold Water
The thought of washing your hair with cold water may not be very appealing, but there is a reason for the madness. Warm water helps shampoo and conditioner do their work on the hair. However, cold water closes the cuticle, which allows moisture from the conditioner to stay with your locks. That leaves your hair looking great.
I started doing this a few months ago and was very impressed with the way my hair looked and felt. You can definitely start with warm water, but when it comes time to rinse your hair, switch to cold.
4. Take A Supplement
Even if you eat a fairly healthy diet, you are probably still not getting all the nutrients you need. That is where supplements come in, and I've found them to truly work wonders for me.
A good hair supplement provides my hair with everything it needs to look its best on a daily basis. When I take them, I notice that my locks grow faster, don't break as often, and truly shine.
5. Put In Some Oil
I love Awapuhi oil. I rub in a little of the product on the bottom third of my hair, and the results are amazing.
Many people are turned off by the thought of putting this product on their hair because they think it will just look dirty. Oil is really good for your locks; it gets rid of the frizz and makes it look silky. I'm happy with the way my hair looks throughout the day when I put on my oil.
If you're anything like me, you take care of everyone before you take care of yourself. However, putting a little time and effort into your hair will make you feel great. The tips included here are easy things you can do to transform the look and feel of your hair.
